BASF is evaluating a potential investment in India as part of its continued commitment to serving growing customer demand in the region. The company is in the advanced stages of a feasibility study for the construction of an MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) production complex and has secured an industrial land parcel in Dahej, Gujarat, for the potential investment through its Indian subsidiary, BASF India Polyurethanes Private Limited.

BASF is expanding its certified biomass balance (BMB) portfolio of additives for architectural coatings with the introduction of Dispex^® AA 4145 MB, Rheovis^® PU 1333 MB and Rheovis^® HS 1169 MB.

BASF’s Performance and Formulation Additives announced the launch of Efka^® PX 4720, a new high‑performance dispersing agent designed for ultra‑matte, solvent‑free UV coating formulations, at the American Coatings Show 2026, held place from May 5 to 7.

Ludwigshafen, Germany – BASF, a global leader in the supply of additives to the coatings industry has completed the transition to bio-based Ethyl Acrylate (EA) for its Rheovis^® range manufactured at Ludwigshafen and Bradford sites. Now, the Rheovis^® range has a ¹⁴C-traceable biogenic content of up to 35% according to the ASTM D6866-18 analytical standard and a reduced Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) of up to 30% compared to versions based on fossil feedstock. This development underlines BASF’s commitment to support customers in achieving their sustainability goals. The chemical composition and technical specifications of the new bio-based products remain unchanged.
